Dear BASD Parents/Guardians of Students in Grades K-5:
We hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving. As we head back to school, we are preparing for the possibility of remote learning. There are a few important things we would like to share with you to help your family prepare for this possibility.
Emily Brittain Elementary School Best Buddies enjoyed a Thanksgiving breakfast before break! This was a great opportunity for the students to create new meaningful relationships with their peers and enjoy being together. The faculty and staff members are very thankful for each and every student at EB!
Emily Brittain Best Buddies organized a Comfort and Coffee Day for the staff in November. The staff was able to pay $5 to wear jeans and get a drink. The students worked together to make the coffee and deliver it right to the teacher's room. This was a great opportunity for the students to do something for the staff.
Thank you to Vintage Coffeehouse for donating iced coffee for the event!
Emily Brittain Elementary students and families had a great time at Book Bingo and the Book fair.
Congratulations to all of the Emily Brittain Elementary Book Bingo winners!
Each year I like to remind our families of our Winter Weather Plan.
I make the decision to delay or cancel school after I review the weather forecast and consult with our Transportation Department. When necessary, the district also consults with the municipalities and other resources within our community. Each decision regarding whether or not to delay or cancel school is made with student safety as the primary concern. I recognize that any delay or cancellation can create hardships for our families and do not take this decision lightly.
